According to the Daily Mail, Danny Rose has hinted at making his loan move to Sunderland from Tottenham permanent if things go well for him in the North-East.
Rose was struggling for first-team opportunities at Spurs and Martin O’Neil handed him his debut for the Black Cats in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the English Premier League.
It is now being suggested that the England under-21 international would be more than happy to sign a permanent deal with Sunderland as he is delighted to be playing first-team football.
However, much of this depends on Tottenham and what part of their plans Rose is. Andre Villas-Boast is said to be an admirer of his full-back/winger and does believe that he has a future at White Hart Lane.
If Rose does want to leave though, then Villas-Boas may not stand in his way.
Much of course will depend on the performances that the Englishman puts in for Sunderland this season, as he looks to impress O’Neil and show that he is Premier League quality.
It is certainly a story to keep an eye on and could be one that develops as the season goes on. Keep an eye out!
