According to a recent report from ESPN, Danny Rose’s potential move from Tottenham Hotspur to Trabzonspor is now off the table.
Rose had previously been heavily linked with a move to Turkey, but the COVID-19 restrictions that are currently in place have made it near enough impossible for a deal to actually become official. Rose hasn’t been a consistent member of the starting XI in North London for quite some time now, and with manager Jose Mourinho being open to the prospect of him leaving, it did feel like he was destined to depart during the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old is now likely to do one of two things – force a loan move through to another English club, or try and fight for his place at Tottenham.
Then, when the summer rolls around, he’ll have another chance to put himself out there in the hope that he gets another opportunity to shine elsewhere.
