Ross McCormack could be set for MLS move

The MLS has long been considered the retirement home for Europe’s footballing stars, and while Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack isn’t quite in that vein, he has been linked with a move to Colorado Rapids, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The Scotland international, who is 31-years of age, has proved himself as a consistent and reliable goal scorer in the Championship for a whole host of clubs. He has bagged impressive tallies for Cardiff, Leeds and Fulham, and spent last season out on loan at Melbourne City.

McCormack scored 13 times in 15 appearances for the A-League club, and now seems to be seeking one final challenge after struggling to make it into Steve Bruce’s Villa starting XI. As a player who has never struggled to find the back of the net, he should find a lot of success in America, and he will be an excellent addition to the Rapids squad.
