Rossi not interested in United return

Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi insists he is not interested in a return to Manchester United.

The Italian international left United for the Spanish side in 2007, but the European champions have first refusal should Villarreal decide to sell Rossi.

“There is no position between myself and Manchester United,” Rossi is quoted as saying in The People.

“I am with Villarreal and that’s it.

“I didn’t get a chance to play in England. That was the main reason I wanted to get some experience and that’s what I have been doing with Villarreal.

“So far I am very happy with that.

“I have no plans to move back, but then we have no idea what happens in the future.

“I don’t have a point to prove to Alex Ferguson. I just go out and give 100 per cent for my team.

“Moving on is not on my mind at all – I just want to do well and then we will see.”
