(GSM) – Giuseppe Rossi was already linked with a move to Juventus in January and now his agent has hinted that the Villareal striker is likely to return to Italy this summer.

“Rossi’s future is in the balance,” agent Federico Pastorello told Radio Goal.

“At this moment Villarreal are in great difficulty and it’s unlikely they will qualify for Europe.

“This means players of a certain level will push to leave and, faced with a club that presents a good offer, Villarreal could sell Rossi.”

The Italian-American forward is well-travelled with spells at Parma, Manchester United and in La Liga.

Rossi, who has scored 28 goals in 77 league matches for Villarreal has drawn the attention of Napoli and Juventus, who had already been linked last summer and in January.

“I don’t know if he’ll return to England or Italy, but I find it fairly obvious that his future will not be in Spain,” continued his agent.

“Napoli are among the best sides in Italy and I’d be happy to have another of my players in the squad.”

Pastorello also represents Andrea Dossena, who joined the San Paolo side from Liverpool in January, and goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis.
