Leaders and champions Wisla Krakow keep their perfect record beating Belchatow. Lech and Legia took comfortable wins at home.

Wisla, who are waiting for Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League qualifiers, clinched their third win in three matches this season. Pawel Brozek took the rebound of his own shot to open the scoring in the 27th minute. Shortly after the break Belchatow defender Dariusz Pietrasiak deflected Brozek’s pass and the ball rolled into his own net. However that wasn’t the only own goal of the evening, as experienced Cleber misunderstood goalkeeper Pawelek’s intentions and gave the visitors a face-saving goal.

Lech Poznan continue their good run with a 12-0 record in the last three matches in all competitions. Ambitious Gornik returned to Zabrze with goals conceded. Lech went ahead after 10 minutes thanks to a Robert Lewandowski volley. Bartosz Bosacki and Rafal Murawski added to the score in the second half. If Gornik keep their poor shape, these could be the last days for their coach Ryszard Wieczorek.

Legia finally secured their first win of the season. Two second-half goals from right winger Miroslav Radovic only confirmed Legia’s supremacy in Sunday’s match. With only one point Jagiellonia are still waiting for their first win of the season.

Newcomers Arka Gdynia, who gained three away points from Piast Gliwice, are unexpectedly in joint second place with Ruch Chorzow. Zbigniew Zakrzewski, on loan from Swiss side Sion, scored his first goals for “the Herrings”. Piast answered only once after a fantastic strike from outside the box by Stanislaw Wrobel, and missed several chances to level the score.

Ruch Chorzow defeated neighbours Polonia Bytom despite an early goal scored by the away side. Young Marcin Sobczak found the net twice and Polonia are yet to win this season.

Disappointment in Lodz, where the position of LKS’s coach is in danger. LKS lost their home match to Polonia Warsaw and are low on the table with only one point. Polonia overcame Mowlik’s penalty with two goals after half time.

Cracovia confirm they poor away form with their second 2-0 defeat in the current competition. In Gdansk, Kaczmarek and Kowalczyk scored for Lechia at a fully packed stadium in their home opening.

Slask Wroclaw crushed Odra Wodzislaw 4-0 and are fifth on the table with 5 points.

This weekend, players achieved an efficiency record scoring 23 goals, which has been the best result so far this season.
