(GSM) – Premier League side Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Bosnian midfielder Senijad Ibricic.
It seems that manager Sam Allardyce is looking to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window as he weighs up a move to secure the services of the Hajduk Split midfielder.
However, Rovers are not the only club interested in the talented 24-year-old as Celtic have also been linked with the Bosnia international.
But Rovers are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring him to Ewood Park.
Blackburn are understood to have watched Ibricic in the recent World Cup play-off encounters against Portugal and are ready to make a move for his signature next month.
Ibricic’s agent, Mario Vokic, has confirmed Blackburn are keen on the attacking midfielder and that the player would welcome a move to England.
“Blackburn are interested in Senijad, but there is nothing concrete at the moment,” Vokic told skysports.com.
“I believe Blackburn’s scout has watched him in the games against Portugal and also the last two or three games for Hajduk.
“Senijad would be interested in a move to England and I believe Hajduk want to sell him so we will see what happens.”
