Lazio’s Czech international defender David Rozehnal has signed a three-year deal with German Bundesliga club Hamburg, his agent Pavel Zika told the CTK agency on Wednesday.

The contract for the 29-year-old Rozehnal, who has 56 caps, includes the option for an additional season.

He will fill the gap left by Brazilian defender Alex Silva, sidelined for several months with a knee injury.

Rozehnal previously played for Czech side Sigma Olomouc, as well as FC Bruges of Belgium, French club Paris Saint Germain and English side Newcastle.
