Ruben Amorim wants Bart Verbruggen at Manchester United

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is keen on a deal for Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag as the United head coach earlier this season, does not think that Andre Onana is good enough for his team and wants a better goalkeeper.

Fichajes has claimed that United, who could lose Harry Maguire to Napoli, would need to pay close to £30 million for Verbruggen, but Premier League rivals Brighton could be open to a negotiation over the fee. The Netherlands international goalkeeper has been on the books of Brighton since 2023 and has done well for the Seagulls.

Verbruggen has made 38 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The goalkeeper has kept seven clean sheets in those goals. Verbruggen has also played 18 times for the Netherlands national football team. Brighton currently find themselves 10th in the Premier League table with 27 points from 19 matches.
