Manchester United are interested in signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that new head coach Ruben Amorim is keen on making new signings at the end of the season in order to rebuild the team, and Wirtz is a player that he is very keen on along with Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi.
Wirtz has been on the books of Bayer since 2020 and has established himself as one of the best young players in Europe. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is a regular in the Germany team and is a very creative player. Wirtz has scored 14 goals and given nine assists in 29 matches in all competitions this season, and scored 18 goals and gave 20 assists in 49 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
Bayer are second in the Bundesliga table at the moment with 41 points from 18 matches, four points behind leaders Bayern Munich. They won the league title last season under head coach Xabi Alonso and are looking to do the same this time around.
