According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Benfica defender Ruben Dias is not Juventus’ first choice target from a defensive perspective – despite initial reports suggesting otherwise. The 21 year old has been heavily linked with a series of different clubs throughout Europe, which includes Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and more. The youngster has been touted by many as one of the most exciting young Portuguese talents to come out of the country since Cristiano Ronaldo, which is quite the compliment. Benfica will be desperate to keep hold of him for as long as they can do so, but in equal measure, they’ll be well aware of the financial gain they can make off of him.
That’s not to suggest that Juventus would rule out a potential move for him altogether, because we’ve seen them put in last minute bids for high profile players before.
Either way, this young man is in for a busy few months.
