Rubin Kazan and Malaga could enter a real bidding war for Villarreal midfielder Bruno Soriano, according to AS.
The Spain international is regarded as one of the hottest commodities on the summer football market and he is widely expected to leave El Madrigal this summer.
Malaga have long ago expressed their interest in signing the highly rated midfielder, with coach Manuel Pellegrini hoping to get reunited with the player he worked with at El Madrigal.
Los Boquerones could, however, face a stiff competition from Rubin Kazan, who are also showing interest in the 28-year-old.
AS claims the Russian Premier League side have made a €10 million bid for the player’s services, although it appears Bruno would rather remain in Spain.
Malaga now need to make a formal bid if they are to return to the pole position to sign the experienced midfielder.
Bruno Soriano has scored 3 goals in 37 league goals for the Yellow Submarine, while he also made provisional Spain squad for the Euro 2012.
