Rubin Kazan were held to a goalless draw by Tom Tomsk on Sunday, while CSKA cruised to a 3-0 win over local rivals Dinamo.

Defending champions Rubin Kazan had a chance to extend their lead over second-placed Spartak Moscow to nine points, but failed to score the goal they needed at Tom Tomsk.

CSKA, currently in third position, were more convincing against Dinamo Moscow. Pavel Mamaev broke the deadlock on 54 minutes, Milos Krasic added a second in the 84th and Guilherme provided the third and final goal two minutes later.

With eight games to go and having a seven-points lead over Spartak, Rubin Kazan are more and more likely to retain their Russian title.
