Rubin Kazan snap up Moldovan keeper

Russian champions Rubin Kazan have completed the signing of young Moldovan keeper Ilie Cebanu from Polish outfit Wisła Kraków. The Chisinau born stopper will compete for the No.1 position at the Tsentralnyi Stadion along with Sergei Kozko, Sergei Ryzhikov and Nukri Revishvili.

Cebanu rose through the youth ranks at local club Zimbru and stayed with them for more an decade before moving to Austrian club FC Karnten. After only one season with the Klagenfurt based side,  he transferred to FC St.Veit in 2005. Short spells at Sturm Graz Amateure and Kapfenberger SV were followed by a loan stint at SVA Kindberg. He joined Wisla in 2007, but struggled to break into the first team, and primarily played for their youth team in the Mloda Ekstraklasa.
