Rubin offer €9 million for Hector Moreno

Spanish newspaper Marca understands that Rubin Kazan have submitted an official proposal for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno.

After having an initial bid rejected for the Mexican, the Russian Premier League outfit have returned with a new offer worth €9 million.

The Russians have been keeping close tabs on the player for several months now and they are eager to lure him to Kazan this summer.

And while Espanyol boss Javier Aguirre regards the 25-year-old as a key member of the side, it is highly unlikely club chiefs will resist the opportunity to earn a nice profit on the highly rated footballer.

Moreno has a contract until June 2016 at Cornella El Prat and a release clause of €20 million, but he is likely to be available for lot less.

The Mexico international has spent last two years at Espanyol, amassing 67 La Liga appearances and scoring 5 goals in the process.
