“That’s not the case to be honest. There’s no need, because I still have three-and-a-half years to go.

Those are the words of Antonio Rudiger, who confirmed that he is not currently in negotiations with Chelsea over the possibility of a new contract. It had been heavily rumoured that the German star was in the process of doing so, but alas, that isn’t the case.
The 25 year old joined the Blues last year from Roma, and has made a solid start to life at Stamford Bridge. He’s known for being quite a versatile defender and is often considered to be one of Chelsea’s most important players, as they continue to push for an unlikely spot in the title race.
Chelsea will return to action against Bournemouth in the League Cup on Wednesday.
