Rudiger puts Chelsea talks on hold

Despite Antonio Rudiger running out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season, there are no talks going on at the moment between his representatives and the club, according to Sky Sports. Apparently, the defender is keen to asses all his options in January and has no intention to recommit to Chelsea between now and then, though remaining at Stamford Bridge still is among those options.

There has been plenty of talk about the future of the Germany international, who has undergone quite a resurgence since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in the dugout at the start of the year. Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are all said to be interested, though the Bundesliga champions have played the rumours down on several occasions. For their part, Chelsea are willing to make the 29-year-old their best-paid player, but Rudiger won’t be rushing to make a decision just yet.
