Hoffenheim are preparing for the new season and whilst there will not be some usual faces to be seen, including the now former head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Sebastian Rudy will return to the club. Former Hoffe player will once again wear the blue jersey, as the midfielder arrives on loan from Schalke 04.
It is a season-long loan, which will see Rudy at a familiar place, but it will also mark his unsuccessful time away from the club. The 29-year-old was part of the Hoffenheim setup for seven years, before he decided to join Bayern Munich. However, his time in Bavaria was fruitful, as the player left after just one year at Allianz Arena, and move to Schalke.
Now, after not impressing in the Ruhr club, Rudy will be returning to a team for which he already played 212 matches. He also scored 12 goals and made 35 assists for TSG Hoffenheim in all competitions.
