Saint Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier is nearing closer to Stade Chaban-Delmas exit, according to Le 10 Sport.
The highly rated footballer has one year left on his deal with les Verts, but he is unlikely to be extending his contract.
Considering that the club do not have the means to offer him the pay rise he deserves, chances are Ruffier will be leaving the club after the 2014 World Cup.
The 27-year-old has developed into one of league’s top goalkeepers during the three years at Stade Chaban-Delmas and he hasn’t missed a single minute of league action since joining from Monaco.
He is reportedly on the radar of Europe’s top clubs and everything suggests he is set to leave les Verts for greener pastures this summer.
Despite being initially placed on the reserve list by France boss Didier Deschamps, Stephane Ruffier has been named as the first back-up to Hugo Lloris after Steve Mandanda was forced to withdraw due to injury. Les Bleus are 10/3 to reach the semi-finals at the 2014 World Cup.
