According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Wolverhampton Wanderers had agreements in place with both Daniele Rugani and Franck Kessie over the possibility of them signing for the club – but both players turned down the idea of moving to the Midlands side.
Wolves have been on a steady rise over the course of the last few years, to the point where many fans believe they could actually make a push for the top six. Even if they don’t, though, they’ve got their Europa League adventure to look forward to, with a potential playoff round meeting with Torino being on the horizon.
Both Kessie and Rugani would’ve been great signings for the club, but it’s not exactly like they’re short of options. They have an incredibly strong squad with the likes of Cutrone and Vallejo also joining during the summer, giving them an incredible level of depth in the process.
