CSKA Sofia and Portuguese striker Rui Miguel have agreed to part company by mutual consent. The termination of Miguel’s contract brings an end to the striker’s 20 month stay at CSKA. He had joined the capital outfit from Lokomotiv Mezdra in January 2009.

Miguel quoted the increasing financial instability at CSKA and a desire to be closer to his family in Portugal as his reasons to quit CSKA.

The 26 year old, a product of Academica’s youth set up, has also represented SC Pombal and Tourizense on loan in the past.

Miguel’s departure is the latest in a long list of players to have left CSKA this summer; 10 players had parted company with the club prior to him.
