Sporting CP stars Rui Patricio and William Carvalho could be sold in the summer transfer window, according to A Bola.
The two Portugal internationals have long been on the radar of top European clubs, but the club chiefs were not happy with the offers they have received.
However, chairman Bruno de Carvalho now has an extra incentive to sell the duo as it was they who have publicly voiced their discontent at how the club was run by the president.
Even if they remain at Estadio Joao Alvalade, the two players will be stripped of the captains’ role, and everything suggests they will be sold at the end of the season.
Both footballers have a €45 million release clause in their respective contracts, and interested parties are now expected to make their moves.
