Rummenigge demands results from Bayern

Bayern Munich chairman Karlheinz Rummenigge was furious after the Champions League match against Bordeaux (2-1 loss). The former star player demanded swift results from Der Rekordmeister. “The squad will have to bounce back from this weak result directly,” Rummenigge told the players after the match.

The Bavarian giants spend a lot of money on new players and a new manager but the results are disappointing.

The loss against Bordeaux means Bayern is performing even weaker than last season, when Jurgen Klinsmann came under heavy pressure and was sacked five games before the end of the season.

Bayern boss Louis van Gaal prays for patience but that isn’t one of FC Hollywood’s features. The defeat in France caused president Rummennigge (who extended his contract with the club till 2011 on Wednesday) to panic.

“I would strongly recommend and advise you (the players) to choose another gear because anything like today will not lead Bayern to success this season.”

Bayern dropped to the third place in the Champions League group. However, the German side still has two matches at home (against Bordeaux and Maccabi Haifa) to repare the damage.

Rummenigge: “There’s pressure, we’ll have to draw six points from those matches.”
