Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has spoken in interview about the speculation that Franck Ribery could be moving to FC Barcelona.
“I think certain people are up to their own little tricks here. My friend Joan Laporta, the FC Barcelona president, got in touch with me as soon as all these stories emerged and assured both myself and FC Bayern that there was nothing to them, absolutely nothing. Barcelona have not been in touch with the player, his agent, or anybody else”, bundesliga.de reported Rummenigge said.
“Franck bears no responsibility for it in any way at all. He’s far from happy himself that domestic and foreign media sources are misappropriating his name to create headlines. He just wants to focus on his goals at FC Bayern, namely the league title, the DFB Cup and the Champions League”, he added.
