(GSM) – Luca Toni won’t return to Bayern München. Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has ruled out a comeback for the Italian striker, who’s currently on loan to Roma.
Toni joined the Giallorossi in January and would like to remain at the Olimpico, although negotiations aren’t expected to be easy.
The Italy international has a lucrative contract with Bayern until 2011 and the Bavarian giants don’t intend to give him up for nothing.
However, Rummenigge’s comments will encourage Roma that a deal can be struck.
“Luca’s relationship with the club is broken and there is no chance of mending it.
“It’s up to him and his agent to find a solution in Italy,” Rummenigge concluded.
Toni has scored five goals in 10 starting appearances for Roma this season.
