Competition: World Cup
Market: Russia to win against South Korea
Odds: 17/20 @ Ladbrokes

Russia get their World Cup off with a tie against 2002 semi-finalists South Korea. Fabio Capello’s side are the favourites to win today as they’ve been in fine form leading up to the tournament, winning three and drawing one of their last four games.

South Korea, on the other hand, have been in atrocious form prior to the World Cup. The side have lost four of their last five games, scoring just two goals in total and conceding 11.

As a result, Russia are being given odds of 17/20 to win tonight against South Korea to put themselves in a good position to qualify for the next round.

Russia’s lineup looks a lot different to what many people will have been used to as manager Fabio Capello has only gone for players currently plying their trade in native Russia. There is, however, Igor Denisov (Dinamo Moscow) and Yuri Zhirkov (Dinamo Moscow) who supporters will know quite well.
