(GSM) – Zenit St. Petersburg suffered their first league defeat of the season, losing 1-0 at Spartak Moskva on Wednesday.

After drawing 3-3 at relegation candidates Anzhi Makhachkala on the weekend, Zenit again delivered a disappointing result in an away match at Spartak in the Russian capital.

The match seemed headed for a goalless result until Zenit conceded a penalty in the 87th minute. Dmitri Kombarov made no mistake from the spot, 1-0.

Elsewhere in Moscow, the derby between Dinamo and CSKA ended in a scoreless result.
