(GSM) – Reigning Russian champions Rubin Kazan jumped to second place in the Premier League following a 2-0 win over Saturn.

Following last week’s 1-1 draw at Terek Grozny, Rubin were determined to get back on the winning track in their home match with Saturn.

The home side went ahead after 33 minutes when Christian Noboa converted a penalty, and were helped a little more eight minutes after the break as Saturn’s Andrei Karyaka picked up a second yellow card.

Aleksey Medvedev added a second goal in the 69th minute to secure Rubin’s victory.

Rubin are four points behind Zenit St. Petersburg and three points ahead of CSKA Moskva, but did play two games more than the other two sides.
