Spartak Moscow have shown interest in Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Andres Guardado, according to AS.
The Russian club are ready to offer between 8 and 10 million euros for the player who has failed to reach his potential in La Liga.
Seeing that Guardado’s contract is set to expire in June 2012, Deportivo are likely to jump at the opportunity to retrieve the €7 million euros invested in the Mexico international.
Numerous injuries prevented the 24-year-old from proving his undoubted potential at Deportivo, but Spartak coach Valery Karpin believes the Mexican still has something to show at the big stage and has instructed Spartak chiefs to make a move for the La Liga star.
Since there is no other club willing to pay that much money for the Mexican, it appears that his transfer to Spartak is just a matter of time.
