Russian media outlet Izvestia has learned that Zenit and Spartak Moscow are hot on the trail of Dynamo Moscow defender Vladimir Granat.
The 27-year-old has entered the final year of his deal, worth €1.8 million per campaign and he has been unable to reach an agreement over a contract extension.
Namely, Granat wants his salary to match that of his defensive teammates Buttner, Douglas and Samba, and is requesting a contract of €2.5 million per season.
And seeing as how Dynamo have no plans to offer the defender a major pay rise, everything suggests the Russia international will be leaving either in January or in the summer.
Russian giants Zenit and Spartak Moscow are closely monitoring the situation and they are ready to make their moves in the January window.
Vladimir Granat has been with Dynamo since 2005, having joined from Zvezda Irkutsk, making 188 league appearances for the club.
