A number of Russian Premier League clubs are hoping to sign Levante striker Felipe Caicedo before the transfer window closes today at 17:00.
Levante face a difficult battle to keep hold of their most prized asset after a number of Russian clubs contacted the La Liga side regarding the sale of Felipe Caicedo.
With the transfer window in Russia closing later today, Lokomotiv Moscow have already sent a bid for the Ecuadorian thought to be worth around €8 million, while few other clubs have also joined in the race.
Caicedo is still a Manchester City player but Levante have the option of making the transfer permanent for €1 million and they are likely to exercise the option before selling him to one of the interested parties.
Levante president Francisco Javier Catalan is thought to be holding out for a fee of €10 million, with the rich Russian clubs unlikely to have any problems matching the player’s valuation.
The La Liga outfit chiefs are, however, still pondering whether it would be wise to sell their key player in the midst of the relegation battle.
