Newly-appointed Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is keen on signing Toby Collyer from Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. Van Nistelrooy worked with Collyer during his time as coach at United, and he is planning to make a loan bid for the defensive midfielder.
Collyer has been on the books of United since 2022. The 20-year-old plays as a defensive midfielder and is very highly rated. He is also part of the England Under-20 squad. Collyer has played once in the Premier League so far in his career.
United, who are keen on Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 15 matches. The Red Devils are 10 points above the relegation zone and are eight points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. As for Leicester, the Foxes currently find themselves four points above the relegation zone.
