Former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel is set to join Deportivo La Coruna, the La Liga side announced on their official website.
The Dutch winger will sign a deal with the La Liga outfit subject to passing a medical and he arrives at the club as a replacement for Stoke City striker Joselu.
The Spaniard will be out for at least a couple of months as he suffered a knee injury shortly after arriving on a season-long loan.
Ryan Babel will be joining Deportivo on a free transfer after he was released from his contact at Al Ain, and it remains to be seen whether he can finally get his career back on track.
The 29-year-old was once regarded one of the most impressive product of Ajax’s famous youth academy, and he showed some promise during a four-year spell at Liverpool.
Since leaving Anfield, Babel enjoyed stints with Hoffenheim, Ajax, Kasimpasa and Al Ain, but he never quite managed to live up to the billing.
