S. America Under-20: Colombia and Ecuador fail to score

Colombia and Ecuador held each other to a goalless draw in Sudamericano Sub-20 match that offered very little entertainment.

Both teams had already beaten Peru in their respective opening games and Ecuador then drew 0-0 with Venezuela. A win in today’s clash would leave either side on the edge of securing a spot in the next round.

Colombia were the slightly better team but lacked the pace needed to convert their attacks. In fact, neither goalkeeper had much to do in this game as both defenses were clearly stronger than their offensive opponents.

Argentina await Colombia in their next match on Sunday, while Ecuador have to wait four days for their clash with Argentina.
