Uruguay came back from behind to beat Colombia 2-1 at the South American Sub-20 Championships and move into third place in a final group of six.

Hernan Bertuz opened the score for Colombia after only nine minutes but Uruguay fought their way back after the interval.

Matías Aguirregaray equalised on 57 minutes and Bolton Wanderers forward Sebastian Charquero netted the winner twenty minutes later.

While Uruguay are back on course to at least qualify for July’s Under-21 World Cup in Egypt, Colombia are now in last place and further away from qualification than ever.
