Manchester City are stepping up their efforts to sign Red Bull Salzburg attacker Sadio Mane, Daily Mirror has suggested.
The Citizens had been alerted of the player’s potential a while back and they have sent chief scout to watch the forward in action last week.
This is enough to suggest they are readying summer bid for his services, with the Senegalese valued at £10 million.
Sadio Mane has been in stunning form since joining Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2012, having gone on to score 28 goals in 50 league appearances for the club. He also impressed during club’s Europa League campaign, netting 5 times in 10 European fixtures.
And with Europe’s top clubs casting admiring glances his way, chances are he will be leaving the Austrian champions in the summer.
Manchester City seriously improved their title hopes in the Premier League by defeating Hull City on Saturday, with the Citizens now 1/1 favourites for the coveted trophy.
