Sagna denies PSG link
Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has rubbished speculations linking him with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international is no longer considered an indispensable member of the squad at the Emirates and he has flirted with Arsenal exit in the past few months.
This has led to speculations suggesting he is on the verge of agreeing a move to Parc des Princes, but Sagna denies there have been any contact with the Saints.
“The January transfer rumours regarding PSG? I am 100 per cent devoted to my club,” Sagna told L’Equipe.
“I am only thinking about defending the colours of Arsenal until the end of my contract.
“The fans are angry with me because they heard about PSG’s interest, but I am not responsible for that. I have never had any contact.”
Sagna’s performances have dropped a great deal this season, and it is highly unlikely the fans will be too disappointed if he indeed leaves the club next summer.
Louis Saha set for shock Lazio switch
French TV station beIN Sport understands that Lazio are set to sign French striker Louis Saha.
According to the source, the veteran forward is currently undergoing a medical at Stadio Olimpico, and if all goes well he will sign a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Lazio officials decided to act after it was revealed star striker Miroslav Klose would miss next two months of action through a knee injury.
Sergio Floccari has done really well to compensate for the German striker, but the Biancocelesti, nonetheless, wanted to sign another experienced forward.
Louis Saha has been released since his contract at Sunderland after the Black Cats completed the signing of Danny Graham from Swansea.
The 34-year-old had made 11 substitute appearances for the Black Cats and has failed to get on the scoresheet.
Malouda pricing himself out of Aznhi move
Florent Malouda’s proposed switch to Anzhi is set to fall through due to the player’s blatant wage demands, Izvestia has revealed.
Malouda, who is currently training with Chelsea reserves, is hoping to leave Stamford Bridge in search of first team football and has recently received an excellent offer from Anzhi.
The Russian Premier League club proposed a one-and-a-half-year deal worth €4.5 million per campaign, which is by far the best offer the Frenchman has received of late.
However, Izvestia reports that the player is requesting a wage of €190,000 per week, and that could see him miss out on a potential lucrative move to Russia.
With Malouda’s contract due to expire at the end of the season, Anzhi were prepared to match Chelsea’s €2 million asking price, but everything suggests they will now pull out of the deal.
Meanwhile, they are stepping up their interest in Benfica forward Nicolas Gaitan, but Eagles’ €16 million valuation of the player could see them miss out on yet another high-profile footballer.
