Luis Saha joined Manchester United from Fulham for a fee of approximately £12.5 million, but so far, his career with the Red Devils has been plagued by injuries. Now, he looks set to leave the club after it became clear that the Manchester United staff and fans have become frustrated with his lack of fitness.
The Daily Mail reports that AS Roma is interested in the the French striker, however they are only willing to take him on loan with a view to a permanent move. The newspaper reports that the player would have to prove his fitness during a loan spell before the club will make a decision on whether to make the move permanent or not.
Should AS Roma then buy the player, they would have to pay Manchester United £7 million, reports the Daily Mail.
Luciano Spaletti wants to increase his side’s attacking options as it became clear this season, with the extended injuries to start striker Francesco Totti, that the team does not have depth in that department. It is unclear whether Saha would give the squad depth given his injury struggles, but it seems that Spaletti is willing to give him a chance.
