Sahin claims he knows Kaka’s next destination
Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin has revealed that he knows the club his teammate Kaka will join in the winter transfer window.
The Turkish international has left Santiago Bernabeu to join Liverpool on a season-long loan, but he remains in contact with his parent club.
The highly rated midfielder is adamant he knows Kaka’s next destination, but has refused to reveal the name of the club the Brazilian will supposedly join in January.
“I know he had an offer from Turkish football,” Sahin told Turkish TV station NTVSport. “And I know what decision he is taking in the winter market, but I cannot reveal that.”
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim recently admitted that he would love to sign Kaka in the January transfer window, so the Brazilian could be the next big star to play in Turkish Super Lig.
It is almost certain that the 30-year-old will leave Santiago Bernabeu in the January transfer window, given the lack of action with los Blancos.
McFadden undergoes Sunderland trial
Sunderland have confirmed that Scottish forward James McFadden has joined the club on trial.
The 29-year-old has been a free agent since he was released from his contract at Everton at the end of last season, and he has been searching for a new club ever since.
Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill has confirmed that the experienced forward is currently undergoing a trial at the Stadium of Light.
“He’s been here for a few days, he has no club, he’s out of contract and he’s been training with Motherwell for some time to get fit,” O’Neill said to The Journal.
“We will see what happens, there have been no promises made on either side – after a day or two of working with me he may not fancy it here!”
James McFadden has only played for three clubs in his career, having began his career with Motherwell and enjoyed spells with Everton and Birmingham.
The former Scotland international returned to Goodison Park in October 2011, but has since made just 7 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
Michel Vorm set for new Swansea deal
Dutch keeper Michel Vorm has revealed he has been offered a new deal at Liberty Stadium.
The 28-year-old joined the Swans last summer from Utrecht and has enjoyed a remarkable first season in England.
As a result, the Dutch international has been linked with a number of Premier League giants, but he remains committed to his current club.
“I was a little surprised that Swansea City wanted to extend the contract so soon,” Vorm told De Telegraaf.
“Swansea have stated that I am important for the future and the offer to extend until the summer of 2016 shows a lot of appreciation.
”When my agent, Wessel Weezenberg, returns from holiday the final details will be discussed. But we will definitely come together.”
Vorm has missed just one Premier League game since he arrived from Utrech and is currently regarded as one of the best keepers in England’s top flight.
