West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino is once again a transfer target for Stoke City who have reopened talks with the Baggies in attempt to finally close a deal for the 23-year-old striker.
It’s been a protracted race for Berahino’s signature, who was also a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
WBA have repeatedly rejected all advances for their star asset in the past hoping that Berahino could be talked into signing a new deal with the club, but it ended up being a futile business for the Potters, who have only made the player even more frustrated.
Berahino’s struggles look set to be over as WBA are likely to sanction the January move so they would not risk losing the player on a free transfer next summer.
Saido Berahino has not featured for Albion since last September and was also out of the team for the FA Cup tie against Derby last week, but Sky Sports reports his woes could be over soon with Stoke City having already made a formal approach believed to be worth less than £20 million offered by Spurs last year.
