Enjoying what has been a stellar end to the 2018/2019 Ligue 1 campaign, a high-flying Saint Etienne will travel to a struggling Stade Raymond-Kopa on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another very worrying display in their 5-0 hammering away at Lille last weekend, Stéphane Moulin will be growing more concerned by Angers’ end to the year. Suffering back-to-back defeats and now recording just one victory since the 13th of April, fans around the Stade Raymond-Kopa will be growing more concerned by their sides form on home soil. Friday’s hosts have failed to win any of their last five matches in front of their own supporters a run that stems all the way back to the start of February. Shipping four when the two sides met earlier in the year, Friday could prove to be another tough test for Moulin’s men.

As for the visitors, while Angers might be struggling with their form at the back end of the season, the same cannot be said about a high-flying Saint Etienne. Picking up a 3-2 win away at Monaco last weekend and securing another campaign in the Europa League for next year, former PSG coach Jean-Louis Gasset has seen his side win seven of their last nine Ligue 1 appearances and have tasted defeat just once since the 10th of March. Also unbeaten in their last four matches on the road, one man to watch on Friday will be the red-hot, Robert Beric. Bagging a brace away at Monaco last time out, the 27-year-old now has four in his last four.
