French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Wolfsburg forward Paul-Georges Ntep is set to join Saint-Etienne.
The two clubs have reached an agreement over a six-month loan with no option to buy, and the player will sign a contract once he completes a medical.
The 25-year-old gets a chance to revive his career after a disappointing spell with the Wolves, where he started just six league games in over a year.
Having impressed playing for Rennes before moving to German Bundesliga, Ntep will be looking to rediscover his form on his return to France.
Saint-Etienne had previously recruited Yann M’Vila on a free transfer, while the deal for Stefan Mitrovic fell through due to a failed medical.
