French Ligue 1 outfit Saint Etienne are considering a January move for Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder, Le Phoceen has claimed.
Les Verts have just stayed without important attacker Robert Beric, who looks set to miss at least six months of action through a knee ligament injury.
As a result, they are likely to recruit a new centre forward in January and they appear to have set their sights on Wissam Ben Yedder.
The Toulouse forward was on the verge of joining Marseille in the summer, with Sevilla also showing interest in his services.
OM ultimately failed to reach an agreement with their league rivals, but Le Phoceen believes that the good relations between Saint Etienne and Toulouse could help make the deal happen.
Wissam Ben Yedder has struggled for form this term, netting just once in ten league matches, but he had scored 30 goals in the previous two campaigns.
