Nice are close to completing a deal for Monaco starlet Alain Saint-Maximim, according to Radio Monte Carlo.
The 20-year-old was expected to be given a chance to shine at Stade Louis II after impressing while on loan with Bastia, but it seems he will be allowed to join les Aiglons.
According to reports, Saint-Maximin is already undergoing a medical in Nice, which clearly suggests the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee.
The talented winger came through the youth ranks at Saint-Etienne, securing his Ligue 1 debut as a 16-year-old, but he hasn’t quite managed to live up to the billing.
Saint-Maximin joins Nice as another reinforcement ahead of the Champions League play-off tie against Napoli, where les Aiglons are 9/4 chance to qualify.
At the same time, Nice are closing in on first marquee signing of the summer as Wesley Sneijder is set to join on a free transfer.
