Saints and Hammers to do battle for Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge has long been a player that has divided opinion, with some believing that his attitude isn’t good enough for the top level of football, while others argue that his clear talent shines through enough to justify his position in any team.

Unfortunately Premier League giants Liverpool are increasingly leaning towards the former opinion, and the striker has made just nine appearances this season, with eight of those being from the bench.

With a World Cup coming up in the summer, Sturridge will need to make a move and establish some consistent game time if he wants to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s thinking.

Luckily, according to Sky Sports, both Southampton and West Ham would be keen to acquire the forward’s services. With neither of those sides finding the back of the net frequently enough, it is certainly conceivable to see Sturridge fitting straight in to start scoring goals immediately.
