Sakho edges closer to PSG exit

Le Parisien has revealed that defender Mamadou Sakho is determined to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The talented stopper  has already voiced his discontent with the status at the club and he is now looking to quit the Saints in search of first team football.

Sakho is determined to keep his place in the national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup, and he is well aware that lack of playing time would seriously damage his chances of staying in Didier Deschamps’ squad.

Seeing as how he has rejected an extension to his contract that is due to expire in a year’s time, everything suggests the 23-year-old will be sold this summer.

The mere fact PSG have splashed the cash on Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos is enough to suggest they are preparing for life without Sakho.

The France international came through the youth ranks and Parc des Princes and went on to make 151 Ligue 1 appearances.
