Mohamed Salah has already confirmed he won’t be leaving Liverpool this summer, but with just 12 months remaining on his contract, his future past 2022/23 is extremely uncertain at the moment. Talks about a new deal have been standing still since December, with a significant gap believed to exist between what the player and his agent demand and what the club have so far been prepared to offer.
With Sadio Mane reportedly on his way out this summer, the club will be anxious to resolve the Salah issue as soon as possible. But if that doesn’t happen, according to The Athletic, the Egyptian would prefer to join another Premier League club to moving elsewhere when his contract expires in 2023.
There aren’t many English clubs who would be able and possibly willing to offer Salah, who will have turned 31 by then, more money than Liverpool next summer. Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, but that’s where that list arguably ends.
