Salah set for permanent Fiorentina switch

The Express understands that Mohamed Salah is on the verge of making his loan switch from Chelsea to Fiorentina permanent, with the Italian side preparing at £13m bid for the winger.

The Egypt international moved to the Florence side earlier this year after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge, and has since played for them eleven times in all competitions, scoring six goals.

Prior to his move to Serie A, the 22 year old played for the Blues just eighteen times, having signed from Basel in January 2014 – six months after clinching the Swiss Super League title.

While Fiorentina sit in sixth place in the Italian top flight – twenty-one points behind leaders Juventus, Salah’s parent club are well on course to win their first league title in five years.

Jose Mourinho’s side host Stoke City in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Premier League, with the home win priced at 2/7.
