Mohamed Salah will reject a potential move to Real Madrid and stay at Liverpool, according to the Mirror.
The Merseyside club are willing to offer the Premier League’s leading goalscorer a whopping new £200,000-per-week contract, which is more than enough to get him to stay at Anfield past this summer.
Liverpool have recently confirmed they wouldn’t consider any offer for the Egyptian this summer, and such a lucrative new deal for the winger would certainly represent further reaffirmation of their hard stance on the matter.
The Reds are now in a much stronger financial situation than in the recent several years that saw the likes of Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho leave Anfield for sizable fees. They signed Virgil van Dijk from Southampton for £75 million in January, having clinched the deal well before they decided to finally allow Coutinho to leave for £142 million. The money spent on the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig has already been matched by the profit made from reaching the Champions League quarterfinals.
Aside from all that, Salah himself, whose current deal runs for four more years, recently expressed his desire to win the Premier League with Liverpool.
