The Daily Mail is reporting that Atletico Madrid are considering a shock bid for West Bromwich striker Salomon Rondon.
Los Colchoneros are in the market for attacking reinforcements as Fernando Torres has left the club and Antoine Griezmann could follow suit.
According to The Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has set his sights on Salomon Rondon, who reportedly has a £16.5 million release clause on his contract.
The Venezuelan is widely expected to leave the Baggies after the club were relegated to the Championship, and he has a considerable experience of playing in Spain, having represented Las Palmas and Malaga.
Rondon also enjoyed spells with Rubin Kazan and Zenit, before going on to score 24 goals in 108 Premier League outings for West Bromwich.
